An Interpretation Of Agate

Agate is a common rock formation often found in volcanic areas, with chalcedony and quartz as its primary components and appears in a wide variety of colours. This is an interpretation of the stone in polymer clay.

Translucent polymer clay has pastels, foil, paint and mica powder added and the random pattern is produced by manipulating and cutting the clay before it is cut into the finished shapes and heat cured. The pieces are then sanded and polished to produce a glossy finish, which enhances the patterns. The new green tree has a resin finish which highlights the green glitter in this version

The trees are 4cm long and 3cm wide and have either silver or gold plated fish hooks.
