A Breath of Spring
Persephone is the Greek goddess of spring growth and the colours of these pendants remind me of spring flowers such as bluebells and hyacinths.
This polymer clay technique was first described by Alice Stroppel around 2011 and very soon became popular. Here I have used a purple background and coloured cane scraps to make this stripy design.
The pendants are available in 3 different shapes. The teardrop is 4.8cm long and 3cm wide; the round shape is 4.5cm diameter; and the rounded triangle is 5.6cm long and 3cm wide.
The pendants are threaded onto coloured memory wire fastened with a screw clasp or silky purple cord and are 45cm long. The back of the pendants are textured and plain purple.
Matching earrings are available.
