An Interpretation Of Agate
Agate is a common rock formation often found in volcanic areas, with chalcedony and quartz as its primary components and appears in a wide variety of colours. This is an interpretation of the stone in polymer clay.
Translucent polymer clay has pastels and mica powder added and the random pattern is produced by manipulating and cutting the clay before it is cut into the finished shapes and heat cured. The pieces are then sealed with a resin finish which enhances the patterns.
The cut out earrings have a total length of 6cm and are 3cm wide. The drop earrings are also 6cm in total length and are 2cm wide. The studs for both of these are 1.5cm diameter and they have stainless steel ear posts and clear plastic back stoppers.
The earrings have silver plated fish hooks.
