Terrazzo interpretation in polymer clay

Terrazzo originated in 16th Century Italy as a way to reuse stone offcuts - sounds like ancient upcycling to me!

I have reinterpreted the technique here re-using chips of already baked polymer clay to add colour to plain white, hand rolled polymer clay beads. This necklace has tube shape beads each 6mm diameter. Plain white glass beads are threaded onto strong beading wire between the polymer clay beads. The necklace is 144cm long, which means it can be worn as a single, double or triple string or even knotted at the front.
